Passion and Knowledge

Two Essential Ingredients for Success

Put these two ingredients together and slam it into overdrive ..

You may be asking yourself, What is the quickest or best way to success where business is cruising along after going through all the gears, so to speak?

There are different ideas on how to make this happen. My twin brother used to say, “It takes money to make money”.

I’ve got a different take on it because, according to business experts, there is a whole lot more money seeking to invest in good business ventures than ventures seeking money. This is to say, there’s plenty of money – it’s just looking for worthwhile avenues.

Here’s my opinion –
The two keys to freight broker success are 1) Passion and 2) knowledge.

Without these, you may as well sit at home and watch TV (preferably NCAA basketball).

I get some people on the fence – “Should I do it – or should I not”?

My personal approach when speaking to potential clients is to NOT encourage them to jump right in IF they are on the fence. Why?

It’s got to be THEIR decision. I can show the upside and the downside and try and paint a picture of both. Then it’s up to them.

Most fence-walkers don’t have the passion (at least for freight brokering). This is okay to some extent but woe be to the one who jumps in without passion.

Then, if the passion is there, the knowledge will follow. And this is where I excel.

A good review of my website including several other articles and videos of mine will reveal enough to push you one way or the other.

And if it doesn’t push you forward then there’s NCAA basketball at least for a couple of weeks.

Well, whatever …

Listen, I know you are busy and sitting down and reading a book may not be your plate of homemade meatloaf, potatoes and gravy.

But, you can order the audio (available instantly and free with a trial). Or, if you order the book, do a “scan-read” instead of reading it word-for-word. It’s also on Kindle.

Here’s a snippet of what you’ll learn: learn to work ON your business not just IN your business. This could be a lifesaver for many.

Here is what this means: working ON your business may include setting up systems and an operations’ manual where someone could come in and help without having to start at ground zero; it MAY include getting agents to grow your brokerage to whatever level of success you desire.

Working alone IN your business MAY leave you worn out, depressed, tired and headed for failure.

But there is much more in the book.
