The Message of the Century
Yes, in my opinion, this is the message of the century! For years – even before my college days – I’ve had a great interest in global affairs.
Logistics in the U.S. operates within a global framework and I believe all successful players in the supply chain, including freight brokers, would do well to listen to Scott Bessent’s remarks. They are profound and so refreshing as I have seen the large-scale organizations – the IMF and World Bank – deteriorate into dismal organizations that have lost their original mission.
I ran across this talk by our current Treasury Secretary and was floored by the impact of his take on current events and his vision for more efficient and fair trade systems. This is the USA’s Grand Masterplan as put forth by Scott Bessent, Treasury Secretary.
I like his take on things – “America First does not mean America alone” … and when he talks about “sustainability” he’s not talking about “climate change and carbon footprint” (which became embedded in the IMF and World Bank even though they had nothing to do with world trade). Scott is talking about sustainable economic and financial systems that will correct the imbalances that have persisted since the days of the Bretton Woods meeting.
My prediction is that within six to nine months, we’ll see here in America the beginning of a new and robust economy that will usher in increasing prosperity for all. I’ll get blasted for this statement … but I feel it in my bones!
