> Essential Tools of the Trade – how to use load boards, how to calculate rates, rate negotiation, using benchmarks to evaluable progress, shipper and carrier databases, plus more.
> Finding & Working with Shippers – where to go (and not go) to get loads, how to talk to customers, putting together your set-up package, giving quotes, taking the order and what to expect once you get loads, what to do before you post your loads, plus more.
> Pre-Qualifying & Working with Carriers – Part 1 – how to talk to drivers and/or dispatchers, what to expect from them, putting together your set-up package, booking the load, plus more.
> Other materials – about 25 handouts, modify some of them, use them in your business, about 12 videos to help explain some of the handouts.
Day 2 – Friday, December 14, 2018
> Pre-Qualifying & Working with Carriers – Part 2 – booking the load continued, the broker-carrier agreement, the rate confirmation, potential problems, effective carrier selection, motor carrier retention, plus more.
> Business, Credit, Financial and Legal Issues – using our load manager spreadsheets verses purchasing software, extending credit to shippers, building your credit, invoicing, paying carriers, using factors, setting up your office, managing cash, accounting, plus more.
> Legislation and Other Related Legal Issues – current legislation, CSA2010, MAP21, FAST Act, CARB, HOS, ELDs, plus more.
> Other materials – about 15 handouts, modify some of them, use them in your business, about 10 videos to help explain some of the handouts.
> Lastly, you receive a video with step-by-step instructions showing you how to complete your application for the MC and DOT #s plus other materials and resources to get your BOC-3 and Unified Carrier Registration (UCR)
All this, plus much more, for two payments of $597.00, 21 days apart – total $1,194. First of two installments due no later than November 20, 2018. You will automatically be billed for the second and final installment 21 days later. This is the only payment option.
First training day, November 23, 2018. Second training day, December 14, 2018 – No changes, no exceptions.
Hours 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time (9 a.m. Pacific, 12 noon Eastern) to about 4 p.m. Mountain Time (3 p.m. Pacific, 6 p.m. Eastern) with about a 30 minute break about half way.
Note: there are NO make-up sessions but you will have training materials. Training sessions are limited – it’s first come, first served.
